Oracle Database Administrator

Compas is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator with an active TSPV clearance to join a trusted federal government client. This role is essential to ensuring the consistency, quality, and security of information systems across a variety of operational environments.
As a Database Administrator, you will play a vital role in sustaining database platforms (Oracle and/or Sybase), optimising system performance, and ensuring database compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Sustain and manage enterprise systems using Oracle and/or Sybase technologies.
• Evaluate, plan, and coordinate the deployment of new system software releases, patches, and updates.
• Monitor and optimise database activity, performance, and resource usage.
• Coordinate and resolve service issues to minimise impact to business operations.
• Configure and manage multiple environments including production, QA, development, and test systems.
• Maintain deep expertise in relational database systems, particularly Oracle Database and Sybase ASE / Replication Server.
• Develop simple scripts or tools to support integration and maintenance activities.
