The program

Australian Red Cross Young Parents Program (YPP) takes a strengths-based early intervention approach, building the capacity of young parents to live independently in appropriate housing, develop parenting and life skills to ensure best outcomes for their children.

The opportunity

As a volunteer in the Young Parents Program (YPP), you will provide valuable support to the team by assisting with basic administrative tasks. Your contributions will help ensure smooth operations, allowing the program to focus on delivering essential services to young parents.

Key Tasks May Include

  • Assisting with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Answering the phone and responding to a generic mailbox.
  • Helping with organising files and managing basic office supplies.
  • Offering friendly and professional support to the team when needed.

This volunteer role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the program in a supportive capacity.

As a volunteer with the Young Parents Program, your contributions will play an important role in supporting a program that makes a real difference in the lives of young parents. By assisting with administrative tasks, you will provide valuable support to the Young Parents Program (YPP) team. Application Requirements

  • For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross.
  • You will need to provide a recent copy of your CV and provide details for two professional references.
  • The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check. Red Cross can assist you in applying for this check.
