Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a People and Culture Delivery partner. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. Reporting to the HR Manager, this position contributes to business-aligned people initiatives, supports a culture of safety and compliance, and equips leaders with the tools and training needed to strengthen employee engagement, development, and well-being.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Lead and manage People & Culture projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
- Collaborate with P&C teams, HR Business Partners and stakeholders to align objectives and coordinate project activities across regions or functions.
- Support the execution of key cyclical events such as performance, remuneration and talent review cycles.
- Provide advisory support and coaching to managers on employee relations and industrial relations matters.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support the successful delivery of P&C initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary Qualification in HR, Business Management, or a related discipline (desirable)
- Delivery of HR projects and annual cycle events (e.g. performance, remuneration, talent)
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices & regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of Fair Work Act, relevant awards, enterprise agreements and other employment legislation.
