Role And Responsibilities
As an Automation Tester, your role will involve:
- Creating and managing detailed test plans and strategies using Azure DevOps.
- Writing, reviewing, and executing complex test cases for web-based applications.
- Prioritising testing efforts and ensuring efficient test case execution.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to generate test cases from user stories and requirements.
- Raising and tracking defects, issues, and faults using Azure DevOps.
- Providing advice on testing strategy and supporting the implementation of automated testing practices.
- Testing digital solutions for conformance to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Experience in automated testing - Well-developed software testing skills, with experience in application/system testing.
- Test artefact expertise - Ability to develop, write, review, and execute complex test plans and cases, and create test strategies.
- Collaborative skills - Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers, in an agile environment.
- Knowledge of WCAG - A strong understanding of testing digital solutions for WCAG conformance, with current accessibility training highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, especially with non-technical stakeholders.
