Within the Department of Education, the Department of Education International, trading as Education Queensland International, provides education programs, services and experiences for students and teachers in Queensland and overseas.
The International Student Programs team supports schools and overseas students through a variety of programs, policy and procedures, as well as professional development.
Your Role
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of quality assurance, accreditation, and compliance processes for accredited International Student Program schools, including strategic project implementation to enhance international education outcomes.
- Oversee policies, procedures, contracts, stakeholder relationships, financials, and resource management to ensure successful program outcomes, strong financial performance, and compliance with all legislative requirements.
- Drive high-quality customer service delivery to schools, education agents, the International Business team, clients, and key stakeholders across the international education sector.
- Lead business and product planning activities, including performance reviews, to ensure alignment with departmental, divisional, and unit-level strategic and operational priorities.
- Contribute to the development and management of the DE International global budget, with direct responsibility for monitoring, reporting, and managing financial aspects related to International Student Programs.
- Coordinate and manage support programs for participating Queensland state schools, including policy development, information sharing, training, quality assurance, and regular reporting on performance and success to the Director and key stakeholders.
- Provide high-level strategic and policy advice to the Director, International Student Programs, and broader ISP teams on key issues, opportunities, and initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring effective program delivery, with a strong focus on outcome management, risk and issue mitigation, and adherence to governance and budget requirements.
