The opportunity

Cochlear is looking for a friendly and professional Team Assistant who could also take on reception responsibilities, this a permanent role working at our in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility based in Newstead.

In this unique role you will have the opportunity to be responsible for providing both reception and administrative support working collaboratively with the Manufacturing Team Assistant, Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, Team Leaders, Team-Members, and cross-functional teams.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Secretarial and administrative support to VP Manufacturing and relevant on-site teams as required

  • Manage email correspondence and key communications as required

  • Calendar management and organization of key meetings and events

  • Supporting new Team Member onboarding and IT requirements

  • Upkeep of relevant communication & notice boards

  • General filling, archiving and record keeping

  • Updating and data checking the Kronos payroll system

  • Minute taking and distribution as required

  • Ensure there is adequate Team Assistant coverage & flexibility during absences across the global manufacturing network

  • Raise help desks as required and ensure that tasks are followed up and closed in a timely manner

  • Manage all signage and labelling on the shop floor in line with CMS 5S standards

  • Act as a point of contact for Team Members for all pay queries and issues and liaise with relevant departments to ensure prompt responses

About You:

  • Kronos or other payroll system experience will be highly favourable.

  • Experience with Oracle and SAP is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Professional attitude and appearance

  • Flexible, reliable, and resourceful attitude.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience with MS Office programs.

  • Advanced computer literacy.

  • Experience planning and coordinating corporate events such as team building days and Christmas parties.
