About The Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist at ORS, you’ll work with a dedicated team of 80+ OT professionals in our growing NDIS division. You will assess and provide intervention for clients aged 0-65 with various diagnoses and disabilities. This includes:
- Assistive Technology (AT): Prescribing equipment such as wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, scooters, commodes, hospital beds, and mobile hoists.
- Complex Home Modifications (CHMs): Assessing and recommending modifications like bathroom alterations, ramp installations, and other home improvements to meet client needs.
- Other Assessments & Interventions: Supported Independent Living (SIL) Assessments, sensory assessments, functional daily living skills, environmental risk assessments, and skill building.
- Mentorship & Support: Work closely with a Team Leader who specializes in AT and home modifications. Plus, engage with division-wide resources like monthly AT Interest Group meetings and specialised Clinical Leads (Seating, Manual Handling).

- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience prescribing Assistive Technology (AT) or Complex Home Modifications (CHMs)
- A car and valid driver’s license
- National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Vulnerable People Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain these)
