Position Overview

Securecorp is seeking a talented and motivated Security Estimator to join our Electronics Team. As a Security Estimator, you will play a critical role in assessing client needs, developing accurate and competitive project estimates and collaborating with our team of experts to create innovative security solutions. Your keen attention to detail, technical proficiency and ability to communicate complex concepts will be instrumental in driving the success of our electronic security projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales, engineering and project management teams to gather information on client requirements and project specifications.
• Analyse schematics, technical drawings and relevant documentation to create detailed and accurate estimates for electronic security projects, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and more.
• Utilise industry best practices, cost data and historical project information to develop comprehensive cost estimates and project timelines.
• Prepare and present project estimates to clients, highlighting the value and benefits of Securecorp's electronic security solutions.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of the latest security technologies, industry trends and regulatory standards to ensure accurate and relevant estimates.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and equipment.
• Participate in cross functional meetings and discussions to contribute insights and recommendations for optimising project designs and costs.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during client presentations and meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless handoff of estimates and project details for successful execution.
  
  

Qualifications

• A combination of practical experience in the security industry, relevant technical knowledge and potentially a Certificate IV in Building Project Support (Estimator) or a similar qualification with strong industry expertise.
• Private Security Individual Registration.
• Proven experience in estimating electronic security projects, including access control, CCTV and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong understanding of security technology concepts, systems integration and industry standards.
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools for estimation, such as Simpro.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
