The Asia Group (TAG) is now accepting applications for an Associate to join our expansion in Australia. This role can be based in Melbourne or Canberra.

The Associate will provide essential support across multiple functions, ensuring executive support, smooth business operations, assisting with internal and external meetings and events, and conducting research and writing to support various initiatives and clients. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to develop their skills in business operations, geopolitical risk, event and stakeholder management, and research and analysis.
The Associate will report to the Country Director based in Melbourne, and work with teammates across Australia and at other TAG offices across a variety of time zones, in particular Washington D.C.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Office Administration
- Assist with day-to-day operations and provide a coordination function across the in-country team and between the Australia Practices and other TAG Practices (in Australia, Washington D.C., and other TAG practices across the region).
- Support document preparation, reporting and governance, and information management.
- Manage visits, executive travel and support.
Event Support
- Assist in planning and executing company events, meetings, and workshops.
- Handle event logistics, such as venue coordination, catering, and attendee communication.
- Provide on-site event support, including setup, registration, and troubleshooting.
Research & Special Projects
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and business opportunities.
- Compile reports and presentations based on findings.
- Support project teams with data collection and analysis.
- Assist in developing content for internal communications and presentations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, international affairs, international politics, law, communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Prior experience in consulting, government, office administration, event planning, or research.
