ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Coordinator at MESHKI plays a crucial role in managing and streamlining the production process to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality fashion products. This role involves coordinating various production activities, maintaining communication with suppliers, and ensuring that all production operations align with MESHKI’s standards and strategic goals.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Assist in the creation and management of detailed production schedules that align with demand forecasts and deadlines, ensuring timely and efficient production processes.
  • Monitor production progress closely, promptly reporting any delays or issues to the Production Manager, Designers, and relevant teams to facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Maintain regular and proactive communication with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services, fostering strong partnerships.
  • Track and manage the delivery of raw materials and supplies, ensuring they meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Address any discrepancies or issues with suppliers, escalating unresolved matters to the Production Manager to ensure swift resolution.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of effective quality control processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within production.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure the efficient movement of materials and finished products, optimizing transportation and storage processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and production activities, ensuring comprehensive documentation for all processes.
  • Input and update data in production management systems, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of production information.
  • Oversee and approve all invoicing for bulk goods, ensuring accuracy in the packing list provided to the warehouse team. Liaise effectively with finance and warehouse teams to streamline operations.
  • Generate regular reports on production activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Provide essential support to the production team, ensuring clear communication and effective coordination across all activities.
  • Work closely with other departments, including design, marketing, and logistics, to ensure alignment and a smooth workflow throughout the production process.
  • Participate in production meetings, providing updates and feedback on current activities and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste, contributing to overall operational excellence.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in production technology, integrating relevant insights into daily operations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in production coordination or a similar role, within the fashion or luxury retail industry.
  • Chinese speaking preferred
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Excel and production management software.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
