As part of their growth phase, they are seeking a skilled Auto Workshop Foreperson to join their team in Alice Springs and lead a dynamic workshop operation.
The Role
This full-time position involves overseeing a team of four workshop staff while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for fitting aftermarket accessories, performing maintenance tasks, and mentoring junior staff. This is a newly created role that offers excellent career progression opportunities within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit a wide range of automotive aftermarket accessories to off-road, recreational, passenger, trade, and mining vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance procedures and assist with fault rectification on equipment such as UHF/VHF radios and satellite systems (on-the-job training provided).
- Provide leadership and training to junior team members.
- Ensure quality workmanship and maintain strong customer relationships.

- Competitive Salary: $88,920–$108,680 per year (based on experience) plus 11.5% superannuation.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience as a motor mechanic, auto electrician, or accessory fitter.
- Previous experience in 4WD accessory fitting and auto electrical work.
- A valid manual driver’s license (forklift license desirable).
- Excellent attention to detail when working on customers’ valuable assets.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
