Job Description
Join our Sheet Metal department on the day shift at our Blacktown site from 5am start to 1:30pm finish from Mon-Thurs, Fridays we finish at 11:00am! Reporting to the Team Leader, this role is essential to producing quality components that align with production schedules and Temperzone Australia guidelines.
This position can be physically demanding, so the successful candidate must be physically fit. You'll also need a keen eye for detail and accuracy, excellent hand tool skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Experience operating CNC brake presses and panel folders is advantageous, as is prior experience working with sheet metal, aluminium, and stainless steel.

Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Ensure production lead times and manufacturing schedules are met, following all company directives and policies.
- Operate machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) with minimal supervision.
- Report all OH&S issues to your Supervisor, proactively identifying hazards and taking corrective action where necessary.
- Maintain warehouse and bin locations in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
- Operate forklifts to unload containers and move stock as required.
- Comply with company safety and environmental policies and practices.
- Adhere to safe work practices and follow SOPs in all tasks.
- Contribute to improving safety and environmental practices by reporting incidents, hazards, or safety issues to your Team Leader and taking appropriate action to resolve them.
- Prioritise the safety of yourself and your team.
- Be aware of how customers use products and promptly report any health and safety concerns to internal or external product and engineering teams.
What You Will Bring To The Role
You will have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, have a high level of attention to detail and an uncompromising attitude to safety.
- Current drivers and forklift license required.
- Proficient in sheet metal fabrication, including forming of aluminium and stainless-steel sheet materials.
- Demonstrated experience operating relevant machinery.
- TIG welding skills are advantageous.
- Previously work experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
