About Bauhinia State School
Bauhinia State School is a prep to year 6 co-educational, band 5 school in Central Queensland. It is located midway between Moura and Rolleston, in the rural township of Bauhinia. Our school may be small but it is at the heart of an active community that values quality education in a friendly, family-style environment. We value students as individuals, build positive relationships and promote improvement in their learning and achievement. The school has one modern, double teaching area, administration and library in the original school building, a covered multi-purpose sports area, an oval, spacious well-kept gardens and new play equipment.
About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee daily office operations, including reception, appointments, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Manage and support school staff, including recruitment, induction, training, and performance monitoring.
- Handle financial administration, including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and banking.
- Coordinate school resources, facilities, and asset management, including maintenance and minor works.
- Arrange technical support for IT and school equipment.
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, policy documents, newsletters, and official correspondence.
- Manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment and provide problem-solving support.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with other Business Managers and community representatives to enhance school operations.
