As MESHKI’s Head of Sourcing and Supply Chain, you will be at the heart of our mission to revolutionise the fashion industry. You’ll navigate the global marketplace to forge partnerships that are not just about transactions but about shared values and mutual growth. Your expertise will ensure that every MESHKI product reflects our commitment to quality, ethical practices and sustainability.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Drive our sourcing strategy, aligning it with MESHKI’s ethos of quality, innovation and sustainability. Your work will directly impact our product excellence and brand integrity.
  
• Rigorously identify, evaluate and partner with global suppliers that align with MESHKI's commitment to quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and ethical practices.
  
• Forge robust relationships through strategic negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and a dependable, high-quality supply chain.
  
• Execute sourcing strategies that resonate with MESHKI’s business objectives, focusing on cost efficiency, diversification of suppliers, and comprehensive risk management.
  
• Facilitate a collaborative environment with the product development, buying and design teams to align sourcing efforts with MESHKI’s innovative product roadmap and launch schedules.
  
• Implement stringent quality control measures, in partnership with the Quality Control and Returns Manager, to ensure products consistently meet or exceed our standards and regulatory compliance.
  
• Continuously monitor the market and industry trends to identify advancements in materials and technologies that can elevate MESHKI’s offerings and leverage insights to spearhead initiatives in material innovation and sustainability, keeping MESHKI at the forefront of fashion.
  
• Lead with a vision that integrates sustainability and ethical sourcing deeply into MESHKI’s sourcing strategy, reflecting our dedication to social responsibility.
  
• Develop comprehensive policies and conduct rigorous supplier audits to ensure our supply chain embodies our values of sustainability and ethics.
  
• Lead cross-departmental teams to foster a unified approach towards achieving MESHKI’s ambitious vision, enriching the brand and operational excellence.
  
• Analyse and refine the supply chain operations to enhance efficiency, resilience, and adaptability, addressing key challenges in lead times, logistics, and inventory management.
  
• Embrace technology-driven solutions, including advanced Business Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence tools, to augment decision-making and supply chain visibility, ensuring MESHKI remains agile in response to market dynamics.
  
• Prepare contingency plans and explore alternative sourcing options to maintain continuity and resilience in the face of challenges.
  
• Advocate for the circular economy within the sourcing framework, focusing on reducing waste, recycling materials, and extending the lifecycle of products.
  
• Implement capacity-building programs for suppliers in sustainability, quality management, and ethical labour practices through workshops and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING:

• Over 7 years of proven experience in sourcing or procurement within the fashion industry, you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Your deep understanding of global supply markets and dynamics, especially beyond China, equips you to strategically diversify our supply base.
  
• Strong negotiation skills, informed by an exceptional grasp of trade regulations, duties, and strategic factory positioning in Australia, the US, and other key regions, enable MESHKI to navigate the global market confidently.
  
• Proven track record of managing multiple warehouses, understanding the complexities of expanding fashion businesses internationally from Australia.
  
• A commitment to sustainable and ethical sourcing practices. You champion these values within the supply chain, aligning with MESHKI’s mission to make a positive difference.
  
• Strong project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  
• Exceptional relationship-building skills to allow you to develop and maintain strong connections with suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring a reliable supply chain.
