Job Description
We have exciting opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager to join our Operations teams within our Village in the Karratha, WA.
This position is permanent night shift, responsible for the continual monitoring of all Civeo’s Accommodation and Behavioural policies and procedures, regularly checking in with departments and facilities (Buildings) throughout the villages, and regular inspections of the village/surroundings.
This position will also be required to respond to emergency situations throughout the village and conduct welfare check at the request of Village Management.

To be successful, you will have:
- Demonstrated relevant work experience in a management or supervisory level role within the commercial hospitality industry
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business or hospitality discipline (desirable)
- Certificate II in Security Operations (qualification will be offered to successful applicants who do not hold this)
- A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (RMLV preferred)
- Advanced First Aid certificate (qualification will be offered to successful applicants who do not hold this)
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening
- A National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain
- Unrestricted Australian Work rights
- Passion for staff training and development
- Excellent computer and administrative skills
- Highly developed financial analysis skills
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with accommodation software packages (preferably RMS9)
- Remote work experience (highly regarded)
- Current Driver’s Licence (highly regarded)

Responsibilities

- To maintain a strict and professional relationship with Civeo employees, clients and guests at all times.
- To ensure all Civeo staff and village guests are adhering to the village Code of Conduct policy
- To respond promptly to disturbance requests from Civeo staff and guests.
- To promote a safety culture amongst staff by providing information, training, instruction and supervision in managing workplace risks.
- To always ensure to act in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with situations involving conflict
- To deliver excellent services to guests and clients, in a timely manner, consistent with all relevant quality standards and service level agreements.
- To develop and maintain good working relationships with all Clients based on confidence and trust in performance of Civeo Operations.
- To ensure that client or guest queries or feedback is answered or resolved in the shortest possible timeframe in a professional manner (including after hours).
- Assist to deliver continuous-improvement customer satisfaction targets.
- To oversee and maintain the security of the facility encompassing village assets, guest and staff welfare
- To assist with the operation of all departments in Civeo.
- To ensure all health, safety, quality and environmental standards and compliances are being practiced ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers, contractors and visitors.
- Adhere to all Civeo Policy and Procedural documents to ensure all health, safety, quality and environmental accreditations, including but not limited to ISO 45001, ISO9001, ISO22000 and HACCP are being maintained
- To work with Health, Safety, Quality and Environment regarding security protocols and risk assessments.
- Conduct Safety Behavioural Observations each month (as per Village KPI)
- Record all village Inspection observations in Communication logs/ Actively participate in HSQE Safety audits
- To report all incidents identified within the village to Village Management and to record in MYOSH.
- To record any suspicious activity and notify Village Management
- To conduct welfare checks as instructed by Village Management
- To ensure all financial policies, procedures and processes are strictly adhered to, ensuring the highest standards of ethics and financial propriety.
- Ensure the safety and security of Civeo property, Civeo money, staff and guests
- To monitor and report on any damage to Civeo property or banking cash variances

Professional Qualifications
- 3+ year experience in similar role within the hospitality or services industry.
- Degree or Qualifications in relevant field would be advantageous.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Certificate II Security qualification
- Minimum RSA (RMLV preferred)
- Manual C ClassDriver Licence
- Experience in hotel or accommodation as duty manager or equivalent role
- General admin experience
- Cash handling
- Customer service
- Security experience (favourable, but not essential)
