Job Description

About the Opportunity

The role supervises the work of the Facilities Attendants, deputising for the Facilities Manager in their absence in those Villages that have a dedicated Facilities Manager. The Facilities team are responsible for providing high quality and well-maintained accommodation/facilities to customers and clients of Civeo, including non-technical maintenance, landscape and grounds maintenance and disposal of waste.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, based on-site, on a permanent 14:7 roster

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Current LF Forklift Licence and experience
  • Prior work experience supervising a maintenance team, preferably in a remote environment
  • Experience in high volume, fast paced work environments, ideally working outdoors
  • Capability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility to work, day and/or night shifts if required for your role
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening
  • A National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one
  • Documentation to prove working rights within Australia
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • Remote work experience (highly regarded)
  • Class C, Manual Driver’s Licence (highly regarded)

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

People

  • To act as a working supervisor, leading a team of Facilities Attendants, scheduling and allocating work, and supervising their work on a daily basis.
  • To be clear about annual personal and company objectives and to take part in regular appraisal processes to assess performance and provide feedback to management.
  • To undertake technical and other training as required, and to attend periodic team and individual meetings as required.
  • To facilitate a team environment and foster a culture of service excellence.
  • To deputise for the Facilities Manager in their absence, in Villages that have a dedicated Facilities Manager.
  • To always apply safe work practices to contribute to the safety culture at Civeo.

Customers

  • To deliver excellent facilities services to the Management team, in a timely manner, consistent with all relevant quality standards and service level agreements, with the minimum of disruption to guests, customers and colleagues.
  • To facilitate and maintain a safe environment for our customers.

Process

  • To undertake non-technical general repairs and maintenance of site grounds, facilities and buildings.
  • To carry out gardening duties.
  • To ensure regular collection and maintenance of waste throughout site.
  • To keep all work areas, storage areas, workshops, tools and vehicles in a tidy, safe and professional condition.
  • To ensure all health, safety, quality and environmental standards are strictly met, ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers, contractors and visitors, and promptly reporting any issues, potential issues or near misses.
  • To follow Standard Operating Procedures in all relevant areas of Facilities services and to contribute ideas for improving processes and procedures.
  • To process all maintenance requests through Civeo property maintenance management system.
  • To take part in Project Working Groups as required.
  • To use Microsoft Office and other IT systems as necessary.

Finance

  • To ensure all financial policies, procedures and processes are strictly implemented and adhered to, ensuring the highest standards of ethics and financial propriety, taking immediate action if any non-compliance is discovered.
  • To facilitate random and programmed audits of Facilities Services.

Other

Any other required duties appropriate to the scope, nature and seniority of the role.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Professional Qualifications

  • LF Forklift licence
  • Manual Drivers licence, Class C.

Experience

  • At least two year’s work experience in a maintenance or trades assistant role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • A minimum of six months experience of supervising a team.
  • Knowledge of equipment and materials routinely used in Facilities Operations (e.g. ride on mower, push mower, whipper snipper, blower, high pressure hose, small parts).
