A unique opportunity has come up to manage the obligations associated with IGO’s tenement portfolio. This is a hands-on role and together with the support of a Tenements Officer, you will take ownership and manage a significant number of tenements.
Key Accountabilities Include
This role is varied and gets involved at all levels of the tenement management process. It requires someone who is comfortable operating in the day-to-day administration space as well as someone who enjoys bringing a continuous improvement approach to their work.

Key Accountabilities Include
- Tenement Administration including reporting, payments, transfer of titles and registration of encumbrances;
- Management of the tenement application process and post application compliance;
- Preparation and lodgement of various applications, submissions and reports (grant and renewal, conditions of title, expenditure reports etc.);
- Tenement auditing and due diligence;
- Coordination and management of external tenement agencies as required;
- Warden’s Court matters, including objections, compliance and agreement negotiations;
- Stamp Duty Assessment preparation for commercial agreements;
- Compile and maintain systems and databases to manage statutory commitments and obligations;
- Assistance with preparation and lodgement of statutory reports; and
- Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation that affects tenement application, management, retention and surrender.
This role is varied and gets involved at all levels of the tenement management process. It requires someone who is comfortable operating in the day-to-day administration space as well as someone who enjoys bringing a continuous improvement approach to their work.
We Are Also Seeking The Following
- Prior experience in tenement management, and working with a substantial multi-jurisdictional tenure portfolio;
- Knowledge of compliance standards with statutory requirements relating to tenements;
- Extensive experience working with mining and exploration professionals;
- Familiarity with form/structure of commercial agreements, joint ventures, & appropriate management processes;
- Knowledge in Cultural Heritage Agreements and Community and Environment matters;
- Knowledge with Land Access and Regulatory Approvals;
- Strong systems experience, including working knowledge of tenement management software & MS Office suite;
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills with a very good networking ability; and
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
