We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.

About The Role
We are seeking a values-driven Specialist Family Violence Practitioner for our Orange door program in a full-time capacity
Reporting to the Team Leader - Support & Safety Hub, this is a Permanent position, located in Frankston, Victora.
You will successfully
- Deliver screening, triage, assessment, crisis response, service planning, targeted interventions, and referrals in line with the Integrated Practice Framework, Operational Guidelines, Service Specifications, and risk assessment tools.
- Assess and prioritize the risk and needs of women, children, families, and perpetrators, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Identify when a Central Information Point (CIP) request is needed and refer it to the Advanced Family Violence Practice Leader.
- Submit requests to the Orange Door Team Leader for service allocation.
- Apply for brokerage on clients’ behalf, following Brokerage Guidelines.
- Accurately record client information in the Orange Door CRM system.
- Provide interim support as a lead practitioner or support worker, aligned with the Integrated Practice Framework.
- Engage in training and development activities to enhance effectiveness within the Hub environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work / Social Sciences or related fields is essential.
- Experience working in the family violence sector is desirable.
- A current and valid Working with Children Check is required.
- Values-Driven: Alignment with the values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
- Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence.
- A National Criminal History Check is required.
- Compulsory Code of Conduct, WHS and Bullying and Harassment training modules are completed and up to date.
