About The Opportunity

This is a key role in which you will partner with the business to build and develop appropriate tools to support people, process and decision making. You will use your specialist skills to deliver innovative solutions which provide a robust platform for integration of data and development of tools and help to embed the master data framework into all projects – ensuring we are focused on delivering quality data and one source of truth for decision making.

A comprehensive Position Description is available upon request and your key responsibilities will include:

Project Management

  • Leading key projects - ensuring there is alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Overseeing project planning, scheduling, and risk management to meet key milestones.
  • Developing business cases and measuring cost and opportunity.

Systems, Processes & Infrastructure

  • Ensuring there is alignment of processes and system functionality across business units.
  • Standardisation of technology to provide a consistent approach for reporting solutions.
  • Leveraging best use of systems to enable business performance.
  • Continually assessing reporting tools managed by the data team for relevance and alignment with business strategy.

Data Engineering and Architecture

  • Using Amazon Web Services (Redshift, S3, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk) to optimise infrastructure efficiency.
  • Integrating diverse data sources via Application Programming Interface to establish a unified data ecosystem for real-time updates.
  • Utilising database modelling techniques to design scalable and efficient data structures.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • 2-5 years relevant experience in data analytics.
  • Relevant industry experience (e.g., resources, engineering and construction industry) would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong numeric skills.
  • Generalist business and technical skills combined with a sound commercial aptitude.
  • Demonstrated experience in roles or projects requiring problem solving, analytical thinking, vision and leadership.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project management experience.
  • Advanced computer skills - Google Suite, Data Studio & Excel.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Qlikview, Qlik Sense, Salesforce, Anaplan, SAP and Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Effective diplomacy skills being able to interact with colleagues at multiple levels within the organisation.
  • Customer focused & always aims to provide a high level of service delivery; goes the extra mile.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills for effective delivery of projects.
  • Sound written communication skills - able to prepare plan and schedule documents, proposals and reports.
  • Sound interpersonal and verbal communication skills - establishing positive relationships and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
