About the role -


The Broker Success Manager (BSM) will partner with a group of brokers as identified to increase productivity and retention over each 12 month period. The BSM will engage brokers in coaching sessions, business planning sessions, small group sessions and on-line training and use their expertise to drive growth in revenue, productivity and team size as well as diversifying their business.


Key responsibilities -


1. Engage and build relationships with 100% of brokers in your segmentation through the following:-


a. Business coaching one on one with Broker businesses to increase their productivity and revenue by agreed percentage (number of businesses and % increase will vary depending on portfolio and state)

b. Conduct Monthly WIG Training with a small group (minimum 8 brokers/business) with 50% of brokers achieving their WIG

c. Run a quarterly TAP (trusted adviser Program) Group with a minimum 8 brokers/business to implement change/grow revenue.

d. Drive attendance at PD days and conferences so that 75% of your segment attends each event

e. Making sure brokers in your segment engage/have full knowledge of all network activities, Development and training


2. That 100% of your segment have completed Mobile dash targets or stage 1 business planning meeting twice a year to discuss


3. Compliance - that brokers in your segment average over 6 for audit reviews


4. Undertake any other duties within your capabilities as may be reasonably required.


Expected activities to achieve outcomes -


  • Activity generation eg. Drive Call-a-thons, hour of powers,
  • Coordinate Working with agents and referrers sessions
  • Retreats - Hold workshops with like minding brokers and business’
  • Coordinate specialist skills eg recruitment, performance management
  • Monthly contribution to springboard - Online platform
  • Must be confident in the customer journey lead to settlement


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience -


  1. Minimum 3 years experience in a senior role within Financial Services
  2. Demonstrated success in improving business performance
  3. Strong business acumen
  4. Cert IV in Coaching or on the job similar experience
  5. Certificate in finance / Dip - Cert 4 advantage but not essential
  6. Efficiency - Able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort. Works to
  7. Can work in a productive manner and focus on key priorities
  8. Follow through on commitments. Lives up to verbal and written agreements.
  9. Proactivity. Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company. Uses initiative.
  10. Able to interpret complex documentation, ability to convey information effectively through written reports. Maintains accurate and transparent records with all meeting notes & appointments.
  11. High level skills, articulate, has a presence to hold attention in presentations, facilitate training and give effective feedback.
  12. Ability to develop people. Can coach people to improve performance.
  13. Persistence. Demonstrates strong work ethic with tenacity and a willingness to go the distance to get something done.
  14. Persuasion. Able to convince others to pursue a course of action.
