Your Opportunity

Reporting into the Director of Care, this role will deliver personal care and assistance to consumers residing in residential aged care. The role works in partnership with the consumers to meet their individual clinical care, wellness and lifestyle needs.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide compassionate and personalized care to our consumers by assisting in activities of daily living
  • Work with clinical and nonclinical team to enable proactive and supportive environment
  • Oversee the use of medication by consumer and administer medications as prescribed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure any incidents are reported through the Incident Management System
  • Adhere to WHS and infection control standards and follow emergency procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and family members when required
  • Promote independence of residents in meeting their own spiritual and emotional needs

Requirements for Success

  • Cert IV or equivalent in Aged Care
  • Previous experience working with clients who have behavioural or mental health issues – Desirable
  • Understanding of medication administration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate computer literacy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively using principles of integrated service delivery
  • First Aid certificate and NDIS clearance desirable
  • Yearly COVID-19 Booster and Flu vaccine Mandatory

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a NDIS clearance.
