About the Role

As a QA Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all FK projects adhere to industry standards, regulations, and internal quality benchmarks. You will develop, implement, and manage QA policies and procedures while driving sustainability practices and fostering a culture of excellence, compliance, and innovation across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry regulations, Australian Standards, and FK’s internal policies.
  • Oversee and enhance project delivery processes, ensuring consistency in documentation, workflows, and compliance across all offices.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of project documentation and drawing packages to identify and address quality issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on best practices in documentation, compliance, sustainability, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with leadership, architects, and project managers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Manage and update FK’s Quality Management System (QMS), integrating new technologies and methodologies where necessary.
  • Lead corrective and preventative action plans, ensuring quick resolution of quality concerns.
  • Research and implement industry best practices in sustainability, digital innovation, and emerging materials to enhance FK’s project outcomes.
  • Champion sustainable design and construction methodologies, working with project teams to integrate environmentally responsible practices at all stages.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and evolving standards to maintain FK’s leadership in quality, sustainability, and innovation.

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience in a QA, compliance, or project management role within architecture, construction, or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian building regulations, codes, and quality standards.
  • Experience in sustainable design principles and knowledge of green building certifications is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to lead, train, and influence teams to embed quality-focused and sustainability-driven best practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and locations.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is an advantage.
