Business Analyst

Are you a Business Analyst with Accounting and Tax experience looking for your next exciting project? Here at Findex we are currently looking for someone to join our collaborative Operational Efficiency team. This is an initial 12-month contract, flexible on location within Australia given our geographically disperse team.

The Business Analyst role is a critical position within the Operational efficiency team. You will work closely with multiple Project Managers, concurrently supporting their Business Analyst needs. This position requires proven expertise in Operational Efficiency, making processes, systems, workflows and tasks more efficient. Solid experience in Accounting & Tax is required as your projects will span across improvements in this division. Solid Test Management experience will also form part of your success.

What will your typical week look like?

• Supporting multiple Project Managers to understand/elicit requirements, plus make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
• Contribute to or drive comprehensive reports, memos, and other required artefacts such as project business cases & charters, cost/benefit analysis, project plans, test plans, roll out plans and change management plans
• Resolve process issues, by mapping current state, identifying pain points and contributing to future state by ensuring problem fixes are sustainable and do not recur
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements, efficiency gains, and best practices to apply to projects or process improvement opportunities

Let’s talk about you!

You are someone with the following skills and experience...

• Business Analyst Certification (IIBA or equivalent) + relevant degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is a plus, however not required.
• Proven experience in a similar Business Analyst role, focusing on operational efficiency within the Accounting & Tax industry
• Proven experience working on complex concurrent projects and a focus on stakeholder management
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite such as Excel, Word, etc. + experience with Project Management tools such as Jira is highly regarded
