About The Role

At BAT Industrial we're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll be the friendly, knowledgeable voice our customers count on when they call, email, or walk through the door. You’ll also support our external sales team, keep orders on track, and help ensure the whole sales process runs smoothly from first quote to final delivery. Sometimes your colleagues in the warehouse and store might need help - you'll need to be comfortable helping out when needed. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team where pitching in is part of the day-to-day.

You don’t need to know everything about fittings or hoses on day one—but you do need a great attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role is a mix of customer service, sales admin, and a bit of troubleshooting. On a typical day, you might:

  • Take phone or email enquiries and help customers find the right product, price, or alternative.
  • Prepare quotes and turn them into orders—making sure details are correct before sending them off for packing and dispatch.
  • Enter information into HubSpot (our CRM) and keep things tidy in Pronto (our order system).
  • Help the team meet sales targets by following up on leads and keeping your eye on opportunities to maintain or improve our gross profit margin.
  • Manage walk-in customers and counter sales quickly and professionally.
  • Assist the external sales team with reporting and general admin tasks.
  • Join our regular sales meetings and contribute your insights.
  • Jump in to help out at the front store and warehouse when needed. Whether it's assisting a walk-in customer, grabbing an urgent item for dispatch, or supporting the warehouse team during busy periods—you’re someone who’s happy to lend a hand where it counts.

You’ll Succeed In This Role If You…

  • Have experience in an internal sales or customer-facing role (industrial sector is a bonus, but not essential).
  • Communicate clearly and confidently—whether it’s by phone, email, or in person.
  • Have strong attention to detail (mistyped product codes can cause real headaches—we like getting things right the first time).
  • Can stay organised when juggling multiple enquiries or tasks at once.
  • Are comfortable using CRMs (especially HubSpot) and order management systems.
  • Enjoy being part of a team that values each other and wants to do a good job every day.
