Fleet Maintenance Planner

Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is looking for a Fleet Shift Maintenance Planner to be a key member of the Auburn Maintenance Team. You will be responsible for the operational based maintenance planning of all fleets managed by the Integrated Operations Centre (currently Millennium, Waratah and SGT fleets in NSW)

Reporting directly to the Lead Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for the communication, execution and reporting of all planned maintenance tasks and related strategies in line with business requirements. The maintenance planner is to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective delivery of tasks in line with the organisations fleet delivery obligations and availability penalty regimes. This position is primarily responsible for day to day and short-term planning/scheduling in a live operational environment managing availability. In addition, executing all planned TMP and corrective maintenance activities.

About You:

• Experience in heavy equipment maintenance planning (could include industries such as minerals processing, manufacturing equipment, heavy civil construction equipment, Aerospace, rolling stock etc)
• Must be able to work 24/7 rotating roster, consisting of day, afternoon and night shifts.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within the rail or relevant industries at a similar grade
• Strong numeracy, organisation and analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of project planning philosophies and techniques.
• Previous experience the use of Primavera6 and MS Excel software
• A commitment to safety and Zero Harm principles
• Skilled in stakeholder management and communication
• The ability to work autonomously or within a team, and encourage the development of others
