ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Resort Wear Fashion Designer, you will be instrumental in defining the creative vision of our resort wear collections. This role requires a talented and forward-thinking designer who can take concepts from ideation to final product, ensuring that every collection embodies our brand’s aesthetic, meets customer expectations and aligns with industry trends. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments to create stylish, high-quality designs that are both fashion-forward and commercially successful.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Design and develop resort wear collections, including dresses, swim, co-ords, swim cover-ups and lightweight separates, from concept to final product.
- Conduct in-depth research on market trends, consumer preferences and emerging influences within the resort and vacation wear sector to guide design direction.
- Create mood boards, colour palettes, sketches and technical drawings to build cohesive and innovative collections.
- Collaborate with the production and garment tech teams to ensure designs meet fit, comfort, and aesthetic standards.
- Work closely with merchandising, production and marketing teams to align designs with business objectives and market demand.
- Provide precise technical specifications and collaborate with garment technicians to ensure designs are accurately translated into final products.
- Select fabrics, trims and materials that enhance the design while maintaining comfort, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct fittings, make necessary adjustments, and oversee sampling to ensure the perfect fit and finish of each piece.
- Ensure all designs adhere to budget and production schedules, maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Promote and incorporate sustainable practices where possible, including the use of eco-friendly materials and responsible production methods.
- 5-7 years of experience in resort wear, ready-to-wear or luxury fashion design, with a portfolio showcasing your expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD software and other design tools.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties and fit specific to resort wear.
- A keen eye for detail and an ability to create designs that combine style, functionality and comfort.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- A deep passion for resort wear and an understanding of our brand identity and values.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A positive, solution-oriented attitude and the ability to thrive in a team-based setting.
