Credit Controller

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to manage the end-to-end debtor process and ensure timely cash collections. This role is key to maintaining strong financial controls, resolving debtor issues, and supporting cash flow forecasting. You will work closely with Account Managers, Finance, and internal and external stakeholders to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage debtors to ensure monthly cash collection targets are met, proactively addressing risks and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to resolve debtor issues.
• Oversee the full collections cycle, including issuing reminder letters, processing credit notes, and escalating to collection agencies when necessary.
• Prepare accurate debtor aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Supervise daily cash receipting and perform bank reconciliations, including managing client portals used for invoice submission.
• Serve as the key contact for internal and external escalations, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of queries.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial policies, management systems, internal controls, and reporting tools.
• Ensure compliance with the organisation’s delegation of authority procedures.
• Provide financial information and support to business executives as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in credit and collections or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
