Sales Manager - Bankstown MRO, Sydney
As the Sales Manager you will be responsible for obtaining new business and growing revenue from the existing client base of Jet Aviation Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) for Jet Aviation’s Australian MRO facilities with primary focus on Jet Aviation’s Bankstown facility. You will actively pursue opportunities for business growth and development of Jet Aviation MRO network by consolidating long term relationships with a growing base of loyal Jet Aviation customers.

Sales Manager - Bankstown MRO, Sydney
As the Sales Manager you will be responsible for obtaining new business and growing revenue from the existing client base of Jet Aviation Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) for Jet Aviation’s Australian MRO facilities with primary focus on Jet Aviation’s Bankstown facility. You will actively pursue opportunities for business growth and development of Jet Aviation MRO network by consolidating long term relationships with a growing base of loyal Jet Aviation customers.
Description/Tasks
- Develop and Execute Sales Plans to secure MRO volume at desired commercial rates to meet or exceed Sales revenue and profit targets.
- Review and manage agreements and contracts with customers to ensure compliance, and service levels are measured and maintained
- Interact seamlessly with Sales peers in the wider Jet Aviation group to drive collaborative sales initiatives across multiple lines of business.
- Prepare budgets, reports and sales plans as directed by the Director of BD & MRO
- Execute sales initiatives as directed by Director of BD & MRO
- Maintain regular and direct contact with all existing and potential customers as required to foster deeper and longer lasting relationships.
- Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network
- Negotiate Sales Agreements and deliver New Business Opportunities resulting in positive long term results for Jet Aviation.
- Responsible for ongoing relationship management and maintaining CRM data for Jet Aviation.
- Continual Network building to grow a healthy pipeline of sales prospects including representing Jet Aviation at Industry events
- Ongoing building of Jet Aviation product and services knowledge
- Ongoing research to develop market Intelligence covering competition, aviation industry and region, to be at the forefront of Industry and Market Trends to enable the identification of, and prioritization of customers
- Communicate to relevant Jet Aviation departments on business opportunities
- Preparation, forecasting and management of defined territory budgets for MRO
- Report and maintain in SalesForce accurate and proper records of all customer contact, market intelligence and sales potential in the region
- Liaise with company staff and circulate relevant information to relevant operational areas within the company
- Prepare and submit routine reports on time, and in the required format
- Develop and improve sales by continual market / product exploration and penetration and by developing a network of prospects and converting them into profitable sales
- Regular travel, sometimes at short notice to visit local and interstate customers
- Aviation, Sales or relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience in the sales profession in the Aviation industry
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) qualification and equivalent or greater, is desired but not essential
- Commercial experience in aircraft MRO business with a good understanding of commercial operations in the aviation environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with experience in negotiating contracts for the provision of MRO services
- Knowledge and understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft maintenance
- Computer Literate in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience in a Customer Focused Work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Results driven – able to execute with high personal accountability
- Strong initiative and self-direction
- Willing to travel within the Region to service local customers, in some cases at short notice.
- Willing to travel regularly interstate
- Willing to work outside traditional work hours as required
