About The Role

The Therapeutic Case Worker position is situated within the FFT-CW Unit, providing family therapy utilising the FFT-CW model.

The FFT-CW Therapeutic Case Worker provides casework, utilising the FFT-CW model to client families where a child/ren are referred to the program by DCJ because of the child protection risk in the family and the imminent likelihood of an OOHC placement for the child/ren.

We have a Fixed Term Contract opportunity until 6th July 2026 based in Blacktown, NSW within our Children Youth and Families / Functional Family Therapy-Child Welfare program. This role reports to the Team Leader in Therapeutic Casework.

To Thrive In This Role, You’ll Need

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification at a minimum Diploma in Social Sciences, Aboriginal Health or Community Welfare.
  • Post Graduate training in relevant child, adolescent, family work and systemic thinking is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal children, young people & families and Aboriginal organisations in a culturally competent manner;
  • Proven highly developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and excellent engagement skills

Must Have Or Willing To Obtain

  • Valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
