About the role
We have an exciting opportunity available for a High Voltage Electrical / Fitter Mechanic to join our Electrical Integrity team. Reporting directly to the Supervisor – Primary Distribution, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
- Completing planned and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of High Voltage (HV) Electrical equipment; including transformers, various types of circuit breakers, protections relays, cables, HV distribution secondary control systems etc
- Diagnosing and recommending repair methods
- Continuously improving plant stability by identification and elimination of equipment failures and contributing to site safety culture
To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:
- Demonstrated ability to safely work as an individual and within a team environment
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence is essential
- Demonstrated diagnostic fault finding and problem-solving skills
- Industrial High Voltage qualifications and experience is essential
- Exposure to Bailey DCS systems, hazardous area work is desirable
- Previous work with VSD’s, DCS logic, electronic relays and fault finding on complex circuits is highly regarded
- Exposure to gas systems and PLC controlled systems would be advantageous
