Who We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking an Industrial Hygiene Officer to join our HSE team based at Cadia during an exciting period of transformation. Reporting to the Team Lead – Industrial Hygiene, you will be accountable for dust, noise, water and associated monitoring as well support the site industrial hygiene program.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Lead on-site testing for dust, noise, potable water, and other workplace hazards, ensuring accurate data collection and strict compliance with testing protocols.
  • Help prepare and organize reports and documentation for regulatory visits, playing a vital role in supporting the Industrial Hygiene team with all administrative needs.
  • Drive the success of industrial hygiene programs by monitoring workplace conditions and reporting key findings to the Industrial Hygiene Team Lead, Lead for Health, Hygiene & Emergency Response, and relevant committees.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of work areas, identifying potential health risks and providing actionable recommendations to improve safety and compliance.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess

  • Health related background in hygiene or safety. Preference is to have Occupational Hygiene experience or working towards OH qualifications.
  • Experience working in a mining environment is desirable
  • Strong communication skills and ability to positively engage and work with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail along with data entry and computer skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and think quick on your feet

Location

This is a full time permanent residential role based in Orange, NSW working at our Cadia mine, Monday to Friday.
