The Finance Business Partner - Marketing & Loyalty will effectively partner the BWS marketing team to understand marketing and loyalty (including Everyday Rewards partnership) investment for BWS, and ensure investment ROI

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Lead the BWS marketing and loyalty investment from a finance point of view with insightful analysis and commercial recommendations
  • Ensure marketing investment is well understood and accruals are managed to accounting standards
  • Continuous improvement - review and analyse business processes to identify inefficiencies, implement improvements
  • Stakeholder management - work with stakeholders to ensure reporting and commentary is effective and insightful for decision making
  • Support understanding and analysis of marketing investment across the EDG group
  • Deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations
  • Drive regular business performance reviews identify and resolve poor performance issues
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure reporting and commentary is effective and insightful for decision making
  • Responsible for preparation and submission of the annual budget and forecast process, working with BWS marketing LT to align on assumptions
  • Ownership over weekly commercial performance reports and forecasts
  • Working with key stakeholders to ascertain cost control measures and optimise future trading opportunities
  • Commercial support for relevant business case and capital requests
  • Manage investment against budget/targets and communicating risks / opportunities to stakeholders, allow for flexibility to respond to business’s needs
  • Finance lead on special projects; e.g. AFL, Appy Deals, Refreshingly, EDR
  • Identify key drivers of profit and opportunities for business improvement
  • Ensure long term financial targets have relevant and sound strategic thinking and strong business cases
  • Develop and implement process improvements to ensure a standard, lean and efficient finance operating model
  • Partner and challenge marketing on current spend and ensure they are pivoting to achieve greatest returns for the business
  • Lead, coach and manage change with business partners
  • Clear and effective communication across multiple groups of stakeholders
  • Work with department leadership teams to ensure there is a consistent “way of working”
  • Work across Finance to implement best practices and improved ways of working, systems and process

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • CA / CPA / CIMA qualified
  • Strong presentation and storyboarding skills
  • Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to communicate complex financial information simplistically
  • Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, GCP, Google suite
