Role Overview:

Join UnitingSA as an Administration Officer at Wesley House Residential Aged Care! Lead Reception daily, ensuring top-notch services for residents, visitors, and staff. Provide exceptional customer service, coordinate admin tasks, and support the Director of Nursing. Apply today for a fulfilling career!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective support to internal and external customers.
  • Perform reception duties: answer phones, transfer calls, take messages, and direct enquiries.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to public enquiries, referring to appropriate resources.
  • Attend to filing and archiving resident information as per guidelines.
  • Facilitate stock ordering of office equipment/supplies and stationery.
  • Assist in staff rostering to Senior Administration Officer / Roster Officer.
  • Maintain and balance petty cash float within specified timeframes.
  • Prepare creditor and debtor accounts accurately for processing.
  • Assist in administrative tasks for meetings, documentation, and distribution.
  • Prepare documentation for resident admission and discharge.
  • Update resident dietary requirements and meal plans, informing staff.

Skills & Experience:

  • Hold a recognised qualification in Business Administration, Office Skills, or possess extensive recent experience in office administration and clerical duties, or similar relevant qualifications.
  • Possess a current National Police Clearance and DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential).
  • Demonstrate a strong customer service history with experience in reception (internal and external customers).
  • Have experience within a residential aged care facility, community service, or similar not-for-profit organisation.
  • Show understanding of quality improvement processes, Workplace Health and Safety regulations, and standards.
  • Display strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including customer service and teamwork.
