Senior Financial Accountant

The Senior Financial Accountant is IBA's specialist technical accounting and financial advisory resource, providing expert advice on complex accounting matters, driving finance transformation initiatives, and strengthening financial governance across the organisation. Working under broad direction, the role combines deep technical expertise with strategic insight to support decision-making, continuous improvement, and high-quality financial outcomes.

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will:

• Work in culturally informed and respectful ways with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers, colleagues and stakeholders
• Assess impacts of changes in accounting standards, legislation and policy on IBA
• Lead initiatives to improve financial systems, data quality, and reporting processes.
• Providing technical guidance, mentoring and quality assurance to finance staff
