This is an opportunity to join a founder-led Australian SaaS business that has established strong momentum and is now entering its next phase of growth. With AI at the heart of its technology and future growth strategy, the business is operating at the leading edge of an evolving SaaS market.

The business has built a compelling technology platform and a strong position in its market. With growth continuing at pace, the founders are looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer who can help build the financial and commercial capability required for the next stage of the journey.

This is not a traditional finance role.

Working closely with the founders and leadership team, the CFO will have genuine influence over commercial strategy, performance, capital allocation and the evolution of the business.

Position

This is a newly created senior leadership opportunity with responsibility for the finance function and a significant role in shaping the company's commercial and strategic agenda.

Working closely with the founders and leadership team, the CFO will strengthen financial reporting, FP&A, systems and controls while providing the commercial insight required to support better decision-making as the business scales.

The role will have significant exposure to growth strategy, capital planning, investors, the Board and external advisers. You will help build the financial infrastructure and capability required for the next stage of the company's journey.

This is not simply a role focused on reporting the numbers. It is an opportunity for a commercially minded CFO to become a genuine strategic partner to the founders and help shape the next chapter of a high-growth technology business.

Profile

We are seeking a CA/CPA qualified finance leader with strong technical accounting, financial management and FP&A capability, ideally gained within a SaaS or high-growth technology environment.

You will understand SaaS metrics and economics and have experience scaling finance functions, systems and processes in a growing business. Experience supporting capital raising and working with investors, Boards and external advisers will be highly regarded.

Commercially minded and intellectually curious, you will be comfortable operating with ambiguity, challenging constructively and translating complex financial and operational information into clear commercial decisions.

You will combine strong technical capability with the confidence, energy and communication skills to work closely with founders and influence the broader leadership team. An interest in AI, automation and using technology to improve the finance function will also be important.
