Bobux Product Developer | Munro Footwear Group

At Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we're looking for a Product Developer to join our Product Development team, with a dedicated focus on Bobux, our much-loved children's footwear brand.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you'll manage the product development process from initial concept through to production approval, working closely with offshore suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-quality children's footwear that meets our design, technical and commercial requirements.

The role

Bobux is known for creating quality footwear designed to support growing feet, combining comfort, functionality and thoughtful design. In this role, you'll play an important part in bringing new seasonal collections to life, ensuring every product meets the brand's commitment to quality, fit and comfort.

• Develop seasonal children's footwear ranges from initial concept through to approved production for Bobux.
• Prepare detailed product specifications, including materials, colours, leathers, finishes, trims and components.
• Manage the sampling and development process, ensuring products meet quality standards and critical path timelines.
• Coordinate fit sessions and manage the fitting process, ensuring footwear meets the comfort, fit and functional requirements of growing feet.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production specifications and product information.
• Work closely with offshore suppliers and manufacturers to monitor product quality, development timelines and production requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Buying, Procurement, Marketing and Wholesale to support successful range delivery.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys the technical and creative sides of footwear development, with a strong eye for detail and an appreciation for the importance of fit, comfort and quality in children's footwear.

• Previous experience in a Footwear Product Development role – essential
• Experience in children's footwear development - essential
• An understanding of footwear construction, materials, fit and manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing samples, product specifications and production requirements.
• Confidence working with offshore suppliers and manufacturers.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve product, fit and quality issues.
• Excellent communication, administration and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple products and competing seasonal deadlines.
• A collaborative approach and confidence working across different teams and stakeholders.
