Job Description
- Provide desktop support for hardware, software and user access issues.
- Diagnose and resolve common desktop, laptop, printer and peripheral faults.
- Set up, configure and maintain workstations to support employee needs.
- Install approved software and apply standard updates to desktop devices.
- Respond to technology requests and provide clear updates to users.
- Record incidents, actions and resolutions to maintain accurate support records.
- Escalate complex technical issues through the appropriate support channels.
- Help maintain reliable technology services across the Perth workplace.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Desktop Engineer' should have:
- Confidence communicating technical information in clear, straightforward language.
- Practical experience providing desktop and end-user technology support.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, printer and peripheral issues.
- Experience setting up and configuring desktop computers and laptops.
- Working knowledge of installing software and completing routine device updates.
- Ability to document support requests, troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
