Structural Drafter

About The Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Structural Drafter to join a collaborative structural engineering team, working across a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys producing high-quality structural documentation, collaborating closely with engineers and contributing to projects from design through to construction.

You will play an important role in delivering accurate and coordinated structural drawings and documentation, working closely with structural engineers and other project stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural drawings and documentation using Revit
• Prepare structural models, general arrangement drawings and detailed documentation for commercial and industrial projects
• Develop structural steel and reinforced concrete drawings.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to interpret designs, sketches and engineering requirements
• Coordinate structural models and drawings with architectural and other consultant documentation
• Manage drawing revisions and incorporate design changes throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure drawings meet project specifications, quality standards and relevant Australian Standards
• Deliver accurate documentation within agreed project deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Structural Drafter within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, with experience producing structural models and documentation.
• Experience working across commercial and/or industrial building projects.
• Knowledge of structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing.
• The ability to interpret engineering designs and translate them into accurate construction documentation.
• An understanding of Australian Standards and structural drafting practices.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
