The Role

As the Defence Digital Engineering Practice Lead, you will be responsible for growing and shaping a high-performing Defence consulting practice. Leveraging your deep Defence experience, industry network and commercial acumen, you will identify opportunities, win new business and lead the delivery of innovative engineering solutions for Defence clients.

This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for driving capability growth, developing strategic client relationships and establishing the organisation as a recognised leader in Defence Digital Engineering.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Grow and lead the Defence Digital Engineering practice.
• Develop and strengthen relationships across Defence, Defence industry and government stakeholders.
• Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities.
• Lead executive-level client discussions and develop strategic consulting solutions.
• Build, mentor and expand multidisciplinary consulting and engineering teams.
• Partner with engineering, cloud, AI, security and technology specialists to deliver integrated outcomes.
• Support major Defence pursuits, proposals and business development activities.
• Drive capability development and thought leadership across the Defence sector.
• Lead the delivery of complex engineering, transformation and technology programs

What We Need From You

• Proven experience within a consulting, professional services or advisory environment.
• Established Defence industry network with strong client relationships.
• Demonstrated success in business development, opportunity origination and revenue growth.
• Strong executive stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience leading large-scale engineering, technology or transformation programs.
• Strong commercial acumen and consulting capability.
• Passion for building teams, developing people and growing organisational capability.
• Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• Systems Engineering.
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Engineering transformation and modernisation.
• Cloud-enabled engineering environments.
• Defence capability development, platforms or warfighting systems.
• Aerospace, Maritime, Rail, Energy, Resources or other asset-intensive industries.
