We are seeking motivated

Advanced Trainee Registrars in Emergency Medicine to join our welcoming and supportive Emergency Department team on a fixed-term basis. These positions are ideally suited to ACEM trainees at T2 or T3 level looking to further develop their emergency medicine skills in a collaborative training environment with direct consultant supervision, excellent clinical exposure, and genuine work-life balance.

With no night shifts, a flexible family-friendly roster, and both full-time and part-time opportunities available (including negotiable part-time arrangements), this role offers the opportunity to advance your Emergency Medicine training while balancing family, lifestyle and professional commitments.

Opportunities are available for:

  • Semester One 2027 (commencing February 2027)
  • Semester Two 2027 (commencing August 2027)

These positions are ideally suited to Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) trainees at T2 or T3 level, offering valuable experience within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

Join a dedicated Emergency Department team where your development is genuinely prioritised. You'll work alongside enthusiastic FACEMs who provide one-on-one teaching and supervision on every shift, while gaining exposure to a broad range of emergency presentations. With more than 17,000 presentations each year and ACEM accreditation for up to six months of Advanced Emergency Medicine training (linked with University Hospital Geelong), this is an excellent opportunity to build your skills and progress your training in a supportive environment.

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be a current ACEM trainee
  • Hold registration with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM)You will be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience and a demonstrated knowledge in clinical and procedural experience in an equivalent ED setting and be an ACEM trainee.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate clinical and procedural experience commensurate with clinical responsibilities of Registrar

We can offer you

  • Highly competitive salary and entitlements, $181,452 to $266,840 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 12 % superannuation
