The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking an Asset & Projects Lead to improve the reliability, renewal and performance of water treatment plants and transmission networks across Central Victoria.

Based in Bendigo 3550 and reporting to the Asset Investment and Systems Lead, this hands on role combines asset lifecycle management, technical problem-solving, reliability improvement and project delivery.

You will lead through technical expertise and project ownership rather than direct people management, working closely with operations, maintenance teams, engineers, contractors and delivery partners.

What You'll Do

  • Lead asset condition assessments and determine asset health and remaining life
  • Plan and deliver minor capital, refurbishment and renewal projects
  • Prepare project scopes, business cases, estimates, schedules and risk assessments
  • Manage contractors and coordinate work with operational teams
  • Investigate equipment failures and develop long-term reliability solutions
  • Use criticality, maintenance and performance data to guide asset decisions
  • Maintain engineering drawings, asset records and Management of Change documents
  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, environmental and contractual requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Water, wastewater or infrastructure asset management experience
  • Project delivery and technical problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of maintenance strategy and root cause analysis
  • Experience with drawings, MOC processes and CMMS/EAM platforms
