With 145 beds and more than 330 highly qualified medical practitioners, our hospital caters for a variety of medical and surgical admissions and palliative care, plus allied health and community-based services. We offer a wide range of services, caring for inpatients, outpatients and day patients across a range of specialties including medical, surgical, rehabilitation and allied health.

Your role

We are currently seeking applications from Registered Nurses to join our dedicated and supportive team in the Oncology Department at SJG Bunbury.

SJG Bunbury’s 11 chair and 2 bed Day Oncology Unit provides cancer treatments in a welcoming, comfortable and nurturing environment. Servicing the community’s cancer care needs spanning the South-West region, the unit’s scope of practice is vast delivering a wide range of Medical Oncology and Haematology treatments.

Our experienced team are welcoming and supportive to new caregivers, providing preceptorship and opportunity for growth and development through recommended, endorsed training pathways.

The role is offered on a permanent part-time basis, working 30.4 hours per week.

The Position

  • Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
  • Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
  • Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
  • Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.
  • Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.

You will hold current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Previous Oncology/Haematology experience valued.

The Benefits

  • Registered Nurse Salary: $82,945 to $106,630 (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation
  • Permanent part-time positions, working up to 30.4 hours a week.
