Our client are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Side Loader Forklift Operator and Machine/Overhead Crane Operator to join their busy operations team based in Maddington. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with forklift experience who enjoys hands-on work within a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Side Loader Forklift Operator
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a side loader forklift to safely unload steel building products from production machinery.
- Load and unload trucks with roofing, walling, rainwater goods, cladding, flashings, and structural steel products.
- Assist with manual handling of sheet metal products where required.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current LF Forklift Licence (essential).
- Previous experience operating a side loader forklift.
- Experience handling long, awkward, fragile, or oversized freight.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks.
Machine/Overhead Crane Operator
Key Responsibilities
- Operate overhead cranes to lift and move sheet metal products including steel coils, flashings, and cladding.
- Assist with offside machine operations by removing and manually moving finished products from production lines.
- Conduct routine checks to maintain product quality and production output.
- Perform manual handling of sheet metal products ranging from 1m to 3m in length.
About You
- Previous overhead crane operating experience (minimum several months preferred).
- Experience working within manufacturing, steel, warehousing, or industrial environments.
- Capable of manual handling.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively within a team.
