The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking an experienced Senior Employee and Industrial Relations specialist to join our growing team in Pyrmont.

This is an influential role for someone who enjoys working through complexity, building trusted relationships and delivering practical outcomes. You will provide expert advice across the full ER/IR landscape, including enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, complex case management, workplace investigations and Fair Work matters.

Working across a diverse mix of operational and corporate environments, you will help strengthen ER/IR capability and shape a consistent, contemporary approach across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Providing expert ER/IR advice to leaders, HR Managers and HR Business Partners
  • Leading and supporting enterprise agreement planning and negotiations
  • Managing Fair Work and other employment-related claims from beginning to end
  • Advising on complex workplace investigations and disciplinary matters
  • Supporting dispute resolution and complex union matters
  • Coaching leaders and HR teams to build confidence and capability
  • Using workforce data and trends to inform decisions and ER/IR strategy

What You’ll Bring

  • Substantial ER/IR experience within a large or complex organisation
  • Practical knowledge of employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
  • Experience managing bargaining, investigations, disputes and complex cases
  • Strong judgement, communication and stakeholder influencing skills
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience

Experience working with operational workforces, unions or matters before the Fair Work Commission will be highly regarded but is not essential.
