About the Company
Our client is an established operational business with a strong workforce across Queensland. Their Townsville office is a close knit team supporting approximately 100 field based employees and is looking for an experienced Scheduler to join the team.
About the Role
Following an internal promotion, this is an opportunity to step into an established scheduling position with training and support provided.
You will be responsible for coordinating daily schedules, allocating employees and resources, managing changing priorities and ensuring jobs are appropriately resourced. This is a fast paced role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, working with people and keeping operations running smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing incoming job bookings and accurately entering scheduling requirements
- Coordinating schedules and allocating employees based on availability, skills and requirements
- Coordinating vehicles, equipment and other operational resources
- Managing changes, cancellations, replacements and urgent scheduling requirements
- Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve scheduling matters
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring relevant compliance requirements are considered
- Supporting field based employees and providing clear, proactive communication
- Monitoring workload and shift coverage to support efficient operations About You We are looking for someone with a solid background in scheduling, rostering or workforce coordination who is comfortable managing multiple moving parts in a busy operational environment. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in scheduling, rostering or workforce coordination
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities and respond quickly to changes
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions focused approach
- Strong administration and systems skills
- Experience in traffic control, traffic management, logistics, transport, construction or another field based operational environment is advantageous
- Experience using Traffio is highly regarded but not essential
