Senior Quality Coordinator
CoMade
CoMade is a strategic partner specializing in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation solutions within the infrastructure, energy, resources, and mining industries. As a project-delivery partner, their focus is on the pre-commissioning to operations phases of a project, offering rapid mobilization of specialist resources to deliver smart solutions for an efficient and effective start-up.
CoMade's vision is to become the foremost project delivery partner recognised for best-in-industry solutions. Strong culture and core values are what separate CoMade from the competition. They believe in building and setting a reputable culture, recognising, and rewarding their people who represent those core values either onsite, with clients, or in the local communities.
About the role
As the Senior Quality Coordinator, you'll run CoMade's Quality Management System day to day across our corporate and project work. Your goal is to ensure things are right the first time, and to meet every client, contractual and ISO 9001 requirement. You'll support project teams through our 'Design to Commissioning' approach, from tender and mobilisation through pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover. Working closely with our HSEQ Manager, you'll keep our certification in place and drive continuous improvement. Your biggest impact will be catching defects in design deliverables and subcontractor work before they reach site, which cuts rework and lifts client satisfaction. You'll be based in the office with regular site visits, and you'll guide our Document Controller on quality records and project documentation.
- Run the Quality Management System within CoMade's Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 9001, and support the HSEQ Manager to maintain certification.
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits and support client and certification body audits.
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, templates and the quality risk and opportunity register.
- Review client and contract quality requirements at tender and start-up, and prepare Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality registers.
- Visit project sites regularly (typically monthly) for quality surveillance and inductions, and travel internationally on occasion for quality control inspections and internal audits
- Coordinate design change control, RFIs and as-built drawings, and confirm superseded documents are withdrawn from site
- Act as the key contact for client quality representatives and contribute quality content to tenders.
- Develop and deliver quality training and inductions, including design control and minimum standards for the engineering team.
How you can support CoMade
