About The Role
Bathurst Regional Council currently has an opportunity for someone to join the Works section as a Truck Driver. In this role you will be required to drive the truck for one of the urban gangs and undertake duties associated with road construction and general maintenance activities.
To be successful in this role you will hold a current NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence, as a minimum, have experience driving trucks up to 10,000kg GVM, and knowledge and experience in basic mechanical and maintenance principles of trucks. Experience using a chainsaw and drainage maintenance are also key requirements.
Key Requirements
- Current NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence, as a minimum
- Experience driving trucks up to 10,000kg GVM
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
- Knowledge and experience in basic mechanical & maintenance principles of trucks
- Knowledge and experience in handling a chainsaw (chainsaw ticket)
- Experience in operating small plant used in the construction industry
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a position requiring considerable labouring work.
- Adequate numeracy and literacy skills to fulfil the requirements of the position

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,118.30 to $1,175.00 per week + super
Position Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.00am - 3.57pm with 30min lunch and an RDO every two (2) weeks
