The Retirement Village & Sales Manager is responsible for the overall management of Torbay Retirement Village, ensuring resident safety, legislative compliance, asset maintenance, and high-quality service delivery.
The role drives occupancy through effective sales and enquiry management, supports resident wellbeing and engagement, and oversees budgets, staff, and contractors in alignment with organisational values and strategic objectives.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead Retirement Village operations in line with Torbay’s vision, values and strategic plan
- Oversee staff performance, recruitment and workforce planning, fostering a positive team culture
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, WHS, and pandemic/emergency requirements, including clear stakeholder communication
- Manage resident experience, wellbeing and communication, including complaints, meetings, onboarding and lifestyle programs
- Oversee village operations including safety, security, emergency systems and risk management
- Coordinate maintenance, contractors, assets, gardens and preventative maintenance programs
- Manage financial performance including budgeting, expenditure control and variance reporting
- Maintain stakeholder relationships, represent Torbay professionally and support promotion and occupancy of the village
- Prepare reports, manage waitlists, support sales processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Business, Marketing or a related field, or at least 3 years equivalent industry experience
- Training/experience in sales, customer relationship management, or stakeholder engagement (desirable)
Mandatory Requirements
- Evidence of lawful right to work in Australia must be maintained for the duration of employment
- Current National Police Certificate (issued within the last three years).

Experience
- Proven experience in people management, coaching and mentoring
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Strong customer relationship management and business development experience
Skills
- An understanding of the Australian Quality Standards in Aged Care.
- An understanding of infection control, and the ability to comply with the requirements of WHS and safe work practises and related procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
