As a Senior Business Analyst, Investment Prioritisation, you will lead the analysis and review of business intentions, processes, services, and information needs to identify opportunities for improvement and support strategic investment decisions.

Reporting to our ICT Investment Manager within the Finance, Corporate Governance and Risk directorate you will work across a diverse portfolio of initiatives, partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand priorities, develop robust business cases, and ensure solutions align with organisational objectives.

You will be instrumental in helping shape future investment decisions by providing expert analysis, insight, and recommendations that drive better business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex business analysis activities across a range of strategic ICT and digital initiatives.
  • Develop and assess business cases that support investment prioritisation and organisational objectives.
  • Analyse business processes, services, and operating models to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement workshops and requirements gathering activities using contemporary business analysis techniques.
  • Provide expert advice and analytical support throughout project planning and delivery.
  • Conduct impact assessments and support testing, training, and business transition activities.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maximise value from existing and future technology solutions.

About You

You are a strategic thinker with a passion for solving complex business problems and influencing decision-making. You bring strong analytical capability, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and a track record of delivering business improvement outcomes within large and complex organisations.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Extensive experience leading business analysis activities across complex ICT and digital environments.
  • Demonstrated success in improving business performance through innovative analysis and solution design.
  • Strong experience developing business cases, identifying investment opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • The ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications in Business Analysis, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
