The Scientific Project Manager is one of a small group of project management roles established to progress the science of within ZERO. The Zero Childhood Cancer Program (ZERO) is Australia’s most comprehensive precision medicine program for children and young people with cancer.

This role combines scientific expertise with project management and internal stakeholder coordination. You will project manage scientific projects, research initiatives and research outputs; coordinate and synthesise scientific data, literature and project findings; manage manuscript planning, development, review and submission; and contributes to grant development and scientific input for funding applications and program deliverables. The Scientific Project Manager works across clinical, molecular and genomic datasets and brings together clinicians, scientists, bioinformaticians, professional services teams and external collaborators.

To succeed you will have…

• Postgraduate degree (PhD or MSc) in cancer biology, molecular biology, genomics, biomedical science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working within translational or biomedical research environments.
• Demonstrated experience project managing or coordinating complex scientific projects involving multiple stakeholders and concurrent deliverables.
• Experience supporting manuscript development, scientific reporting or grant-related activities.
• Working knowledge of clinical and molecular research datasets, including genomic and multi-omics data.
• Experience working effectively with clinicians, researchers, bioinformaticians and operational teams.
